NCAA Basketball Betting Lines

03/18/2010 - Syracuse, NY (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Syracuse center Arinze Onuaku has been ruled out for Friday's NCAA Tournament opener with a right quadriceps injury.

Onuaku was hurt in the Orange's 91-84 loss to Georgetown in the quarterfinals of the Big East Tournament.

Head coach Jim Boeheim said Onuaku, who has been nursing the injury since then and has been reduced to limited duty in practices, will not suit up as the No. 1 seeded Orange take on 16-seed Vermont in Buffalo. Boeheim also was unsure in Onuaku could play on Sunday should Syracuse advance.

The 22-year-old posted averages of 10.5 points and 5.1 rebounds per contest this season.

For now, the 6-foot-9, 275-pounder will undergo various treatments and aquatic training exercises to aid in recovery.
